Workshop through music expression.

By 7 August 2012No Comments

The Malta Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce hosted in its premises a group of youths from the Foundation for Educational Services (FES) for an educative workshop through music expression.  FES department works with children and their families through the development and achievements of programmes and services to support integration and social inclusion and bridging the gap between formal and non-formal education. Mandy Mifsud, from the FES, in collaboration with our residing vocal tutor  Rosabelle Bianchi, conducted the workshop, where the youths present had an interesting discussion on music as an art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony, and color. The workshop helped the students to interact and express themselves making the utmost in trying to make use of music expression even through singing.  It helped them realize how much they are able to appreciate music and how rewarding and educative can be in learning to play an instrument and take music studies seriously.

The students had the opportunity to tour round Palazzo de La Salle, house of the Malta Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce and appreciate the beauty of the building and the wonderful works developed after restorations.
