The London College of Music (LCM) Practical Face-to-Face examinations will take place between the 7 and 15 October 2022 at Palazzo de La Salle.
We have a total of 134 students – 124 in all the different grades and 10 sitting for the Diploma exams.
The LCM Examiner is Mr Ateş Orga.
Examiner Biography
BMus (Durham), FTCL, LMusTCL, ATCL
Ateş Orga trained as a composer and pianist, read music at the University of Durham, and is a Fellow of Trinity College London. Formerly on the staff of the BBC Music Division, Lecturer and Concert Director at the University of Surrey, and Director of Music Management Studies at Istanbul Technical University, his work as a London College of Music Examiner takes him around the world. In Malta he has collaborated with the Culture Directorate and Valletta 2018 Foundation, and is associated with the Malta Spring Festival. He’s written on many aspects of Maltese society and music, as well as producing instrumental and orchestral recordings with Charles Camilleri, Karl Fiorini and Charlene Farrugia amongst others. Holder of a Royal Philharmonic Society Award and winner of the Liszt International Grand Prix du Disque, his published books range from a social history of the London Proms and a pocket anthology of Istanbul verse and prose to biographies of Beethoven and Chopin. Fifty years ago he was a contributor to Richard England’s Contemporary Art in Malta.
