Anima is a visual art exhibition by established artist Dione Borg. The exhibition will feature the artist’s main creative interest through a recent series of works featuring nude paintings. It revolves around the artistic exploration and rendering of the human form, created through spontaneous and poetic work from life sessions. This work is characterised by colourful compositions which levitate with pent-up energy. The show will be curated by Roderick Camilleri and will be showcased at the Malta Society of Arts.
Dione Borg Biography:
Born in Mosta in 1952, Dione Borg started his artistic career locally, studying at the Malta School of Art. Some of his acclaimed tutors include Anton Agius, Harry Alden and Esprit Barthet. He continued working on his art when he moved to Canada for 19 years. Since he returned to Malta, he has continued to develop his artistic works.
