Stand-Up Comedy by Victor Patrascan & Radu Isac

10 January | 8:00 pm - 13 January | 10:00 pm

Stand-Up Comedy by Victor Patrascan & Radu Isac

This is a special night of live stand-up comedy in broken English featuring Radu Isac and Victor Pãtrãşcan, two of the most experienced and widely travelled comedians on the European comedy circuit.

Together, they deliver sharp, bold and deeply funny stand-up that explores politics, culture, religion, identity and the absurdities of modern life — the topics people argue about online, but still laugh about together in real life. Their comedy doesn’t provoke just for shock value; instead, it asks questions, challenges ideas and finds humour in the chaos of the world around us.

Radu Isac is known for his calm delivery, dry charm and perfectly timed punchlines, while Victor Pãtrãşcan brings bold ideas, cheeky observations and occasional audience interaction — always respectful, always optional. Yes, Victor may speak to the audience, but only if you want him to. Sit anywhere you like, even in the front row.

Whether you’re local, an expat, or simply trying to make sense of modern life, this show offers a shared space to laugh at our collective contradictions. Come on your own or bring friends — you’ll leave entertained, amused and perhaps with a thought or two lingering long after the final joke.

Shows sell out fast. Advance booking is highly recommended.

Victor Patrascan Biography

I was born in Romania and grew up in a small village with my grandparents in a house they built with their own hands. My grandfather also dug up the hole that became the toilet in the back yard. When I got older, I moved to the city with my mom and after bluffing my way through school, I earned a BA in Philosophy from the worst university in Romania.

I’m technically the first Romanian to start performing stand-up comedy in broken English, with my first performance being in London at the UCL Print Room Cafe in 2012. That was also when I got my first official complaint for telling inappropriate jokes. We had a meeting about it, I was told off and I was almost expelled from the university Comedy Club.

Since 2020 I’ve been touring constantly. I live on the road, I travel from country to country, city to city telling my jokes. The thing that I am most proud of is that I organise all these shows myself. No agents or representation. I invest my own money tha I make from the tickets that I sell, 0 outside investment or influence. All independent and self sufficient. I love it like this. Like, when you send me an email, you’ll get a reply from me. When you buy the tickets, you buy them directly from me. If there are spelling mistakes anywehre in this text, that’s also my fault.

These days the production work it so much that I do get help from my very smart and talented friend Holly. But, I remember when I started touring I used to be a one-man-band, I was designing the posters, calling  up the venues and asking them if they would have my show to even laughing at my own jokes.

Over the last years, I have done more things than I ever dreamt of. For example, in 2023 alone, I performed in over 70 cities, 32 countries on 2 continents. Consequently, I might as well claim to have the longest and most extensive self-produced comedy show in Europe.

In the last 4 years, I’ve told my jokes in Germany, Japan, Italy, the Netherlands, Greece, Austria, Singapore, Turkey, Sweden, France, Serbia, Switzerland, Georgia, Finland, Belgium, Iceland, Ukraine, Spain, Estonia, Italy, Cyprus, Ireland, South Korea, Portugal, Kazakhstan, the Czech Republic, Iceland, Norway, Slovakia, very close to the Vatican, Thailand, Georgia, UK, Slovenia, Armenia, Croatia, Poland, Latvia, Armenia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, UAE, Denmark, Moldova, Vietnam, Hungary, and even Bulgaria.

Back in 2019 and 2020 I was at the top in the rankings of Roast Battle London. Oh, and my big claim to fame came in 2021 when I was a special guest on the Romanian TV show iUmor where I told jokes about religion and Romanians being racist and consequently scared a few people with my jokes.

Right now, I’m probably on tour somewhere in Europe telling jokes. Come and watch some live comedy, it’s much more fun than on your phone or on TV. I’m planning to venture out where no Romanian has gone before. Let me know where you live and I’ll come and do a show there! Click on this and fill in the form and tell me where I should tell jokes. Seriously, I’ll come to your town in your part of the world.

Radu Isac Biography

Radu started comedy in his former home of Romania where he was known as Romania’s “comedians’ comedian”. Shortly after moving to London, he was a finalist in the English Comedian of the Year competition.

He’s made a name for himself as the king of the misanthropes, setting out his bleak world view one gag at a time. His sugar-coated depravity forces laughs out of those who should really know better – venomous but twinkly, like a snake dipped in glitter.

His stand up was featured on multiple BBC, Channel 4 and Comedy Central programmes. He opened for the likes of Louie CK and Jim Gaffigan.

“intelligently subversive” – The Scotsman
“still making me giggle” – Three Weeks
“The audience loved it and I think you will too” – CounterCultureUK
“certainly impressive” – BeyondTheJoke.co.uk
“simultaneously sweet and dark” – Chortle
