Opening Concert of the VIII Edition of the Valletta International Piano Festival & Competition (EPTA)
Neo Piano Classic Concert “Alone in the Ocean” by Pianist Alex Rib
The festival will be opened by Alex Rib, a young pianist, composer and Radio Jazz Award nominee, a graduate of the Gnessin State Academy of Music in Moscow. For this opening concert, Alex Rib is performing his own music titled “Alone in the Ocean”, based on the novel of the same name, piano music from the multimedia project “Animation”, as well as works from his latest album “Breathe”.
The concert will feature Rib’s project “Alone in the Ocean”, which has been in the repertoire of the Moscow International House of Music since 2018 and is based on real stories. It is inspired by a documentary novel about professional oceanographer Slava Kurilov, who made a daring jump into the dark ocean waters from a cruise liner and spent three days in the water.
This unique and exclusive piano concert, will feature beautiful music and an unforgettable audio-visual experience. Not to be missed!
