iMprint 6 – Intaglio Print Biennial 2023

Since 2017, iMprint has become a biennial event that strictly revolves around the exhibition and the promotion of intaglio printmaking techniques. Organised by artist-printmakers Lino Borg, Justin Falzon and Jesmond Vassallo together with curator Christian Attard, iMprint is produced in collaboration with ArtiGrafika association. It is iMprint’s time-honoured practice to pay homage to leading Maltese 20th-century artists whose output includes a corpus of intaglio works. Some past editions have focused, among others, on the etchings of Carmelo Mangion and Frank Portelli. This year’s sixth edition of iMprint will focus on the graphic works of Emvin Cremona (1919-1987), one of Malta’s more nuanced artists.
