This concert will present a professional soprano singer Anna Poghosyan (Armenia) interpreting Opera classics.

Accompaniment of the concert by pianist and composer Margarit Sargsyan (Armenia)


Arias from favourite Operas of Rossini, Handel, R.Chapi, Mascagni, Serrano-Marinela, Verdi, Bizet, Sandoval, Tchaikovsky, Komitas and Gershwin

Anna Poghosyan Biography

Anna Poghosyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia. She graduated from Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory’s piano department, as well as the vocal department (Professor Rebeka Ojakhyan’s class). She has worked at the same institution since 2003, and from 2017 she is an associate professor for classical vocalists.
At international contests in Italy and Spain, Anna Poghosyan won gold medals and the Grand Prix. She has performed in countries such as Italy, Spain, Poland, Germany, Belgium, Russia, Armenia and others.

Margarit Sargsyan Biography

Margarit Sargsyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia. She graduated the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory’s piano department. M. Sargsyan has eight “best accompaniment” category Diplomas: 4 Republican and 4 International.
She was hired as the lead accompanist for Opera Belcanto (Canada) in 2013.
She is not only the composer of many songs and romances, but also of noteworthy and important works, such as the “Known and Unknown Galanteryan” initiative, which resulted in the creation of 25 melodies. M. Sargsyan has been an accompanist at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory since 1992. She has been teaching at the same Conservatory’s Department of Accompanying Skills since 1994. She has been a Piano Professor since 2011. In 2017, she was awarded the Gold Medal of the Ministry of Culture.
