The conference titled ‘The Arts and Migration(s): Reflections and Responsibilities’ opens with Café Climate, a public evening at the Malta Society of Arts. Through conversations with local experts, we will explore how climate change and migration are interconnected, from migratory birds to sea routes and human displacement.
The conference creates space to share perspectives, exchange practices, and imagine new narratives about art and migration. It’s a chance to connect across borders and disciplines, and to reflect on how art can foster empathy, belonging, and responsibility in Europe today.
The event is organised by Arts Council Malta and European Alliance of Academies, in cooperation with Akademie der Künste, Berlin.
