Synopsis of Courses:
For the first class on Saturday 5th March 2022, we will work with a sketchbook, pencils and charcoal to discover how to actually see what is in front of us, and distil what our picture needs. It will be held in a location in Valletta so that we can get to know each other and hopefully arrange car pool for future trips to each other locations. These locations will obviously be weather dependant. There will be a mix of coastal, town and country locations to achieve the widest variety of challenges.
Aim and Objectives:
This experiential course will cover the essential techniques and various approaches to producing artworks in the open air. The tutor will demonstrate in watercolours, however, students are encouraged to use the medium that they are most comfortable with: the basic rules are the same. This course will cover all the practical drawing skills perspective, tone, composition, measuring etc and also encourage students to discover their own unique voice in their art.
