James Vella Clark’s exhibition ‘CONVERGENCE’ is now open to the public until the 28 February at the Art Galleries of Palazzo de La Salle, 219, Republic Street, Valletta.
Opening hours are:
Monday to Friday 08:00 to 19:00hrs
Saturday 09:00 to 13:30hrs
Here’s what Vella Clark had to say about his exhibition:
“My ‘abstract’ works are a direct product of the way my landscapes kept becoming more abstract. Consequently, they put me on a path where I also felt more comfortable testing the limits of how abstract these same landscapes could become, whilst remaining faithful to what I wanted to say.”
The MSA is proud to be hosting ‘Convergence’. In a Facebook post, Vella Clark thanked many people who helped him in the run-up to the opening:
“I would like to thank all those of you who made it to the opening of ‘Convergence’ yesterday. It was overwhelming seeing so many of you there! Thank you! It made it all even more special. A big THANK YOU goes to the Malta Society of Arts and Adrian Mamo for the impeccable venue and their professional support, particularly Joe Scerri and his team, Anthony Galea for all the design work related to the exhibition, Jason Greenaway for the frames, Stef Mizzi for the photography of some of the larger works, Lisa Attard for the photography on the night, DV Trading wine sellers for the exceptional wine, Fino and ARQ Group for their logistical support. The exhibition is on for all of February and over the coming days, I will be hosting another evening specifically for all of you who would have liked to be there but for some reason, couldn’t. You were missed. Thank you!”
